Twinkle Toes Dance & Drama
Louise
Dance and Drama Specialist
Louise has been involved in performing arts since a young age when she disovered her love of theatre and would perform in various shows in Essex.
After studying Performance Arts, specialising in Dance and Drama, at age 19 Louise began volunteering at a local primary school to gain teaching experience. Here she ran a succesful after school club , with her students performing at dance festivals and school fetes.
Louise was then given the opportunity to cover a few lessons for a local Arts in Education company, subsequently Louise took on the role of a senior specialist at the company, teaching in schools around Essex.
After many years in her role, she wanted to concentrate more on establishing a more permanent base for her teaching and TwinkleToes opened in 2008. Louise's students have sinced performed at Hylands house open days, open days for youth centres and school fetes. Louise herself has gone on to provide sessions for local family centres, Recycled Teenagers ( Group for over 50s) and housing associations in Southend as well as running TwinkleToes.
Her dedication to her students and love of teaching led her to continue the classes in Southend despite moving away to Cambridge. Whilst in Cambridge Louise worked as a Playworker and EYFS keyworker as well as opening TwinkleToes Cottenham and Ready Steady Dance, a class for mums and toddlers. Louise has since married and moved back to Southend with her husband and is looking forward to reforming Ready Steady Dance
