About Us

Based in Southend on sea at The Cornerstone. Twinkle Toes offers

fun weekly sessions in Performing arts. Covering a variety of Dance

and Drama activities for all abilities in a non pressurised and safe

environment.

Our Dance and Drama classes are currently available for two age

groups 4 years to 7 years old and the 8 years and over. Twinkle Toes

offers classes without any termly fees, all sessions are pay per week.

Our classes continue to run throughout all of the school holidays

Twinkle Toes cover a variety of dance styles throughout the sessions

such as Rock n Roll, Street dance, Musical theatre, Commercial dance

and African to name a few. There are also many opportunities for our

students to choreograph their own routines. During our Drama

workshops Twinkle Toes cover many subjects including musical

theatre, mime, and improvisation as well as looking behind the scenes

such as roles within the theatre. The children will also have chances to

work with scripts as well as create there own pieces.

The company is managed by Louise Layzell who has been involved in

the Performing Arts industry for many years. Louise is well trained to

run the company, having previously worked for a local Arts in

Education Company and running her own classes for many years at a

local primary school. Children in her classes have performed in many

dance festivals, including performances at Hylands House in

Chelmsford, performing at local business openings as well as

performing in their own annual summer showcase. TwinkleToes is also

involved with the local family centres holding dance and drama classes

and performances at the centres for local families in the school holidays.

With experienced staff members, Twinkle Toes Dance and Drama have

a professional team, qualified to a high standard of A level performance

arts.
